Job Description
Drive business development initiatives in the ports and maritime sector.
Identify and evaluate recent business opportunities and potential projects.
Analyze business opportunities and prepare project notes for departmental and management approval, including SWOT analysis.
Prepare pre-bid queries, attend pre-bid meetings, and negotiate with clients to propose necessary changes to tender requirements.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders and maintain robust professional relationships on behalf of the firm.
Prepare comprehensive technical and financial proposals in accordance with client requirements.
Prepare complete tender and bid documents in compliance with applicable requirements.
Develop and deliver proposal presentations to clients.
Review, interpret, and prepare bidding documents in accordance with tender specifications and contractual stipulations.
Prepare project budgets and cost estimates.
Support the department in operational review presentations, budget preparation, and project progress monitoring.




Monitor project invoicing, maintain invoice registers, and ensure proper documentation.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, peers, and internal and external stakeholders by sharing information, knowledge, innovative ideas, and growth opportunities.
Desired Profile
Should have experience in preparing proposals for consultancy assignments.
Should have experience in preparing bidding documents.
Should be conversant with bidding documents for State and Central Government projects, as well as donor-funded projects.
Should be conversant with online tendering processes.
Should have experience in preparing proposals for private clients.
Should have positive knowledge of market intelligence gathering and analysis.
Should have prepared a minimum of 10 technical and financial proposals.
Should possess good communication skills.
Should possess good presentation skills.
Should have experience in handling tenders and projects funded by international or domestic donors.
