Job DescriptionSummaryBecomepart of a winning team and help to deliver the Green Energytransition.The Gas Power Technical Complianceorganization (GPTC) provides technical guidance, leadership, andtactical directions to drive Technical Compliance to globaltechnical regulations and standards for product (gas turbines,steam turbines and generators) and plant systems (HRSG, water steamcycle and BOP) to be integrated into a power plant for HD and Aerobusinesses. GPTC provides coverage in expertisethroughout the entire lifecycle of Power Generation equipmentincluding Recent Product Introduction (NPI), commercial phase (Inquiryto Order -ITO), and execution (Order to Remittance -OTR).GPTC is seeking a Lead Engineer for drivingcompliance with TRS requirements for Heavy Duty & AeroDerivative Gas Power Projects execution. The Engineer willeffectively collaborate internally with several functions withinGas Power & externally with customers, authorities, andauthorized agencies in a multi-cultural & multi-functionalenvironment to ensure technical compliance of products &services; offered.JobDescriptionRolesandResponsibilitiesDriveproject regulatory compliance for all technologies part of PowerPlants (GT, GEN, ST, BOP, HRSG, Controls) and for all TRScategories (Environmental compliance, Pressure equipmentcompliance, Explosive atmospheres compliance, machinery safetycompliance, etc.) for Gas Power Heavy-Duty and Aero-DerivativeUnits.Flow down regulatory requirements toengineering, sourcing and other functions asrequired.Collect contractual Codes &Standards; requirements and build a compliance strategyplan.Conduct regulatory compliance assessmentsand manages project technical compliance plans to meet therequirements by reviewing and understanding the applicableRegulations and referenced StandardsPartnerwith Manufacturing,



Design & field teams to successfullyresolve regulatory compliance issues.Assistequipment inspections & audits in manufacturing as well ascustomer sites as needed for codes & standards compliancerequirements.Interact with outside engineeringfirms, certification and inspection agencies, governmentalagencies, authorities to provide product compliance with applicableregional or national Technical Regulations to gain the neededproduct certification or registration.Maintainawareness of the latest technical regulationsdevelopments.Coordinate a team of complianceproject engineers Serve as an approverfor TRS information packages or technical files for its eventualsubmission to authorities.Manage projectschedule and cost of TRS compliance for the scope ofwork.Lead the solution of technical problemsrelated to compliance of equipment to technicalregulationsMonitor and effectively communicateproject status, business issues and potential non-compliance risksfor the projectParticipate as a presenter intechnical and project reviewsCommunicateresults/actions to the relevant engineering and projectteamsAct independently in achieving projectTRS complianceHas in-depth knowledge of bestpractices and interfaces with others; has working knowledge ofcompetition and the factors that differentiate them in themarketBe proactive towards businessinitiatives such as Quality, PLM multi-generation roll out,Productivity (Lean), Product Cost Out (PCO)



and continuousimprovementWork within the guidelines ofapplicable internal Policies and Procedures, EngineeringStandardsPromote & Prioritize “Safety”cultureRequiredQualificationsMechanical/ElectricalBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university orequivalent.Previous experience working ininternational companies in energy business. (more than 6 years),preferably in engineering. Demonstrated ability to work in ateam.Shall be capable of (i) identifying andresolving regulatory and compliance issues quickly and effectivelyand (ii) dealing with Regulators and resolvingconcerns.Good understanding of legislativerequirements, current compliance practices and industrystandards.Occasional travelrequired.Demonstrated expertise in generallyaccepted codes & standards like EU (ATEX, EMC, PED, LV), ASME,IBC, and Grid Codes.
