Senior Backend Developer (MERN Stack)

Key Responsibilities

- Build and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js
- Architect and optimize database schemas using MongoDB
- Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of backend systems
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams
- Lead backend technical decisions and mentor junior developers
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best engineering practices
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6-8 years of professional experience in backend development :

- Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js :

- Extensive experience with MongoDB (aggregation, indexing, performance tuning)

- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) :

- Experience working in product-based environments (SaaS or large-scale products preferred)

- Strong knowledge of API design , microservices, and system architecture

- Experience with version control systems (Git) :

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines :





- Good understanding of security best practices and data protection

Good to Have

- Experience with React.js (basic understanding for collaboration)

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes :

- Knowledge of Redis, message queues, or caching mechanisms :

- Prior experience in high-traffic or scalable systems
