- IPR Assistant (Mumbai)**

To support the operational activities of the SVKM IPR cell, an IP Assistant is required. OB approval is attached

Qualification Requirements : Required Qualifications:

- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science or Engineering domain
- Master’s degree or LLB preferred
- Basic understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), especially patents
- Certification in IPR (preferred but not mandatory)

Preferred Experience

- 1-3 years of experience in IP-related roles / patent support / R&D; documentation
- Exposure to patent filing processes (Indian and/or international)
- Experience of working with academic or research institutions (preferred)

Key Skills

- Robust coordination and communication skills
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of patent databases (preferred)

Position : This is a full-time on-site role at SVKM’s NMIMS University (Mumbai)

Key Responsibilities : To assist the IPR Executive in the following: 1.



IP Filing & Documentation Support

- Assist in preparing and compiling documents for patent, trademark, and copyright filings
- Coordinate with inventors for technical disclosures, data, and clarifications

2. Coordination & Communication with faculty, inventors, patent agents, and legal teams

3. IP Portfolio Management

- Maintain and update the IP database/portfolio tracker
- Track filing timelines, examination deadlines, and renewal dates
- Support in preparing periodic IP reports and dashboards

4. Administrative & Compliance Support

- Maintain IP records and documentation and time to time update the same.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with institutional IP policies
- Support in audit and reporting requirements

5. Awareness & Institutional Support

- Assist in organizing IP awareness sessions, workshops, and training programs
- Support in preparation of presentation materials, brochures, and reports

**6. Any other responsibilities assigned by the IPR Executive
