Job Description:

Rahul Jain & Associates is a well-established Chartered Accountancy firm serving mid-market clients across multiple industries. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts & Taxation Professional to join our team.

The role involves end-to-end client accounting, finalisation of financial statements, GST and Income-tax compliance, Schedule III reporting, reconciliations, and direct interaction with clients. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, analytical abilities, and the confidence to independently manage multiple client assignments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Finalisation

- Manage end-to-end accounting for multiple clients across industries.
- Perform ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, balance confirmations, and account reconciliations.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, errors, misclassifications, and potential misreporting.
- Finalise books of accounts and prepare financial statements.

2. GST Compliance

- Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Perform GSTR-2B reconciliations and input tax credit verification.
- Handle GST annual returns and related reconciliations.
- Assist with GST notices, assessments, and other compliance matters.

3. Income-tax & TDS Compliance

- Prepare and file Income-tax Returns (ITRs) for individuals and business entities.
- Handle TDS/TCS computations, return filings, and reconciliations.
- Assist with tax scrutiny, notices, assessments, and related documentation.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.

4. Financial Reporting

- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Schedule III of the Companies Act,



wherever applicable.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules, notes to accounts, and supporting financial reports.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting and statutory records.

5. Client Management & Advisory

- Independently manage accounting and compliance assignments for multiple clients.
- Coordinate with clients for information, documentation, and timely completion of assignments.
- Participate in client review meetings and explain accounting and compliance matters.
- Identify issues and provide practical support on accounting, GST, and taxation matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, Income-tax, and TDS/TCS compliances.
- Hands-on experience with Tally, Zoho Books, MS Excel, and relevant statutory compliance portals.
- Ability to independently handle multiple client assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- High attention to detail, ownership of work, and a proactive approach.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with relevant experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm or accounting and taxation practice will be preferred.
- Practical exposure to end-to-end accounting, financial statement finalisation, GST, and direct tax compliance is desirable.
- Candidates who can take ownership of assignments and work independently will be particularly suitable.
