Key Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, next-generation firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Enforce client/project, corporate, lab, and guest isolation using VLANs, restricted trunks, and default-deny inter-VLAN policies; validate access boundaries.
- Administer TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, OSPF/BGP, STP, and LACP; resolve routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
- Implement 802.1X/NAC, port security, DHCP snooping, Energetic ARP Inspection, BPDU Guard, and secure device administration.
- Manage firewall rules, ACLs, IPS, IPsec/SSL VPNs, MFA, and enterprise Wi-Fi authentication; maintain client VPN and guest wireless isolation.
- Diagnose outages, latency, packet loss, and suspicious traffic using Wireshark/tcpdump, syslog, and NetFlow/sFlow; integrate logs with SIEM and support incident investigations.
- Patch devices, remediate vulnerabilities, and maintain tested configuration backups, change validation, and rollback plans.
- Maintain network diagrams, IP address records, and client access rules; automate configuration checks and coordinate resolution with IT, security teams, ISPs, and vendors.
