Job Title: Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations across injection moulding, assembly, and related production processes. The role is responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining quality and delivery standards, improving productivity, and controlling manufacturing costs.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning and Execution

- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in coordination with PPC.
- Manage machine loading, capacity utilisation, shift operations, and production priorities.
- Ensure timely completion of domestic and export orders.
- Plan mould, colour, and machine changeovers to minimise downtime.
- Monitor planned versus actual output and resolve production bottlenecks.

Productivity and Cost Management

- Improve cycle times, line balancing, machine utilisation, and manpower productivity.
- Reduce rejection, rework, scrap, material wastage, and manufacturing costs.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.

Team and Shop Floor Management

- Plan manpower deployment across machines, departments, and shifts.
- Lead supervisors, team leaders, and operators to achieve production objectives.
- Monitor attendance, overtime, discipline, and workforce efficiency.
- Develop operator skills through training and multi-skilling initiatives.

Quality and Process Control

- Ensure adherence to approved specifications, process parameters, and work instructions.
- Coordinate first-piece approvals and control non-conforming material.
- Work with Quality teams on root cause analysis, CAPA, and recurring defect prevention.




- Support customer audits and quality improvement activities.

Maintenance and Material Coordination

- Coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown resolution with Maintenance.
- Ensure proper care and utilisation of moulds, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, and PPC for timely material availability.
- Control work-in-progress, semi-finished inventory, material reconciliation, traceability, and FIFO practices.
- Support recent product trials and readiness for mass production with NPD.

Safety and Reporting

- Enforce shop floor safety procedures, PPE usage, housekeeping, and company policies.
- Review production performance and submit daily and monthly MIS to the Plant Head.
- Track output, downtime, rejection, manpower productivity, material consumption, and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 10–15 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in plastic injection moulding, stationery, toys, automotive components, or assembly operations.
- Preferably 3–5 years in a Production Manager or equivalent leadership role.
- Experience managing multiple shifts, production departments, and large shop floor teams.
- Practical knowledge of injection moulding, production scheduling, capacity planning, quality systems, and cost control.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and production MIS.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
