About CogniApt CogniApt builds AI-powered assessment solutions. Our platform measures how well people understand, apply and critically question AI, and turns that into clear insight through the AI Composite Score (ACS). We are starting with schools, with offerings for corporates and government administrations to follow. CogniApt is a Silverfox Innovations Pvt. Ltd. company, founded by IIT alumni and based in Hyderabad. The role Every test we run produces data about students, classes, schools and the questions themselves. As our first Data Analyst, you will turn that data into reports principals act on, insights that shape our question papers, and metrics that guide how we grow. This is a fully remote role, working directly with the founders and owning analytics from day one.
What you'll do
• Analyse assessment results at the student, class, school and district levels, and help produce the reports schools receive
• Run item analysis after each test (difficulty, discrimination, distractor performance) and feed findings back to the paper-setting team
• Monitor how ACS scores and tiers are distributed and flag anything that looks off
• Build and maintain dashboards for internal teams and partner schools
• Track business metrics such as school pipeline, participation, completion rates and growth
• Clean and structure data from the platform,
outreach and operations
• Turn analysis into clear, concise summaries for non-technical audiences such as principals and partners What we're looking for
• 0–2 years of experience in an analytics role (strong freshers welcome)
• Strong SQL and Excel/Google Sheets skills; Python (pandas) preferred
• Comfort with basic statistics: distributions, percentiles, correlation
• Experience with a visualisation tool such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau or Metabase
• Explicit written communication; you can explain a chart to someone who has never seen one
• Self-driven and comfortable working remotely, with availability during IST
working hours
• Curiosity about AI and education Good to have
• Exposure to psychometrics, item response theory or education data
• Experience in an early-stage startup Why join us
