About the Role
This is an opportunity to play a key role in AssetMark’s trade operations in Hyderabad, helping clients meet their investment objectives through effective portfolio management and trade generation. As Associate, Trade Operations, you’ll handle critical activities across the end-to-end trade and portfolio processing lifecycle. You’ll handle trade generation, portfolio drift review, rebalancing, quality control, exception management and reconciliation, with accuracy and on time. You’ll also work with Operations leadership, Product and Technology on root-cause analysis, process redesign, system enhancements and automation. What You’ll Do
• Use independent judgment to identify and generate trades, considering portfolio drift, model changes, tax optimization and other factors.
• Support scheduled trading events, including dollar cost averaging, scheduled withdrawals, bulk tax harvesting, corporate action model updates and ad-hoc client requests.
• Respond to client-facing teams on portfolio management inquiries, with impact assessments and recommendations aligned to portfolio guidelines.
• Recommend improvements to trade generation processes, oversight and reporting, and help reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
• Write test scripts and run user acceptance testing for new processes, system enhancements and rule changes.
• Monitor dashboards and metrics for outliers, escalate discrepancies and process gaps promptly, and follow documented SOPs and risk standards.
• Contribute to training for onshore and offshore teams on process changes and trading workflows. What You Bring
• 3–9 years in portfolio management, investment operations or a similar role in financial services.
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, investment strategies and risk management principles.




• Knowledge of the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including rebalancing, exception management and reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to connect trading logic to portfolio outcomes.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining trade rationale to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, market-driven environment with tight deadlines. Nice to Have
• Knowledge of tax-aware trading, portfolio drift logic and model-based investment strategies.
• Familiarity with portfolio management systems and Salesforce.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Education
