Role Description The Commi 1 Continental role is a full-time, on-site position based at CALCUTTA 64 in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role involves supporting the continental kitchen in daily food preparation, cooking, and plating according to café standards and recipes. The Commi 1 Continental will assist senior chefs, maintain workstation cleanliness, follow hygiene and safety protocols, and help with inventory handling and mise en place.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing ingredients, executing basic continental dishes,



ensuring consistent quality and portioning, and coordinating with the service team to deliver orders on time. The position requires a proactive approach, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced café environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation skills with sound knowledge of basic Cooking techniques.
- Candidates should possess solid Culinary Skills, especially in continental cuisine, including plating and presentation.
- Candidates should possess a strong sense of Hygiene and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service teams.
- Basic experience in a professional kitchen or café environment is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage.
