Role Description The Site In-Charge role at Polycoates Engineering Services Pvt Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Dahej. The role is responsible for overseeing daily site operations, including planning and supervising surface preparation, coating application, and inspection activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion of work.

In-Charge coordinates with project managers, client representatives, and subcontractors, manages workforce allocation, and ensures adherence to technical specifications and relevant standards. This position also involves monitoring material usage, maintaining site documentation and reports, and supporting audits and quality checks.

In-Charge is expected to address operational issues promptly, enforce safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement in site processes and performance.

Qualifications

- Strong site supervision and project coordination skills, including daily planning, resource allocation, and workflow management.
- Knowledge of industrial coatings, corrosion protection, fireproofing processes, and basic understanding of inspection practices and standards.
- Proficiency in documentation and reporting, including progress tracking, quality records, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and support a culture of secure working practices on site.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address site issues, manage risks, and maintain project timelines.
- Prior experience in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Diploma or degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred; relevant certifications in coatings or safety (e.g., NACE/AMPP, safety courses)
