Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Engineer (Fabrication only) role based in Bhopal.

The Purchase

Engineer will manage end-to-end purchasing activities for fabrication materials and components, including identifying suppliers, obtaining quotations, and finalizing purchase orders in line with project requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities include purchase planning, ensuring timely procurement to meet production schedules, maintaining accurate purchase documentation, and coordinating with production, quality,



and logistics teams. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, optimizing costs without compromising quality, and supporting audits and compliance related to purchasing processes.

The Purchase

Engineer will also analyze material consumption, track inventory related to fabrication items, and contribute to continuous improvement in procurement efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and purchase management in a fabrication or heavy engineering environment.
- Ability to perform effective purchase planning and handle purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for cost comparison, vendor evaluation, and procurement data analysis.
- Experience in sourcing fabrication materials such as steel, castings, bearings, and related components.
- Understanding of quality standards, ISO procedures, and basic contract terms related to supply and procurement.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for vendor coordination and internal stakeholder management.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ERP or procurement software tools.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline, with prior experience in purchase or procurement preferred.
- Ability to work in office in Bhopal, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple purchase requirements simultaneously.
