Job Description: Job Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for Rolling Mill production and operations.
- Plan and achieve daily, monthly and annual production targets.
- Manage billet charging, reheating furnace, rolling stands, cooling bed, finishing and dispatch.
- Monitor mill productivity, yield, quality and production efficiency.
- Control and reduce cobble rate, rejection, downtime and material losses.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, Stores and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance is properly planned to maximize mill availability.
- Optimize power, fuel, consumables and manpower costs.
- Ensure production of quality TMT bars / MS bars / structural products / wire rods as applicable.
- Implement process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
- Lead, train and manage production and technical teams.
- Prepare and review production reports, MIS, KPIs and operational performance.
