SAP SSAM/MDK Technical Developer

5+ Years Job Summary We are looking for an experienced SAP SSAM/MDK Technical Developer to design, develop, customize, and support SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) and SAP Mobile Development Kit (MDK) applications. The candidate will work on mobile application development, SAP BTP Mobile Services, OData integrations, and application deployment to support Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and enhance SAP SSAM and MDK mobile applications for asset management and field service operations.
- Create and maintain MDK pages, actions, metadata, business rules, JavaScript logic, and workflows.
- Configure and support SAP BTP Mobile Services and Mobile Asset Integration Framework (MAIF).
- Integrate mobile applications with SAP backend systems using OData services and SAP Gateway.
- Troubleshoot mobile data synchronization issues, offline functionality, and application performance.
- Enhance standard SAP SSAM functionality while ensuring compatibility with SAP upgrades.
- Build, package, deploy, and maintain mobile applications across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Perform application testing, debugging, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, ABAP developers,



and business stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Provide L2/L3 production support, defect resolution, and application lifecycle management.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge transfer materials. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP mobility development, preferably with SAP SSAM, SAP Asset Manager, or SAP MDK.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP MDK application development and customization.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, MDK metadata configuration, business rules, actions, and page development.
- Experience with SAP BTP Mobile Services and Mobile Asset Integration Framework (MAIF).
- Strong knowledge of OData services, SAP Gateway, and SAP backend integrations.
- Understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) processes.
- Familiarity with work orders, maintenance notifications, equipment, and functional locations.
- Experience troubleshooting offline capabilities, data synchronization, and mobile application performance.
- Knowledge of Postman, application testing, version control, deployment, and release management.
- Exposure to SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) is an added advantage.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
