Role Description This is a full time, on-site Database Administrator role based in Jaipur. The Database Administrator will manage, monitor, and optimize production and staging databases that support Umidisha’s marketplace platform. Responsibilities include designing and implementing database structures, configuring and maintaining replication, ensuring data integrity and security, and performing regular backups and recovery procedures. The role involves diagnosing and resolving performance issues, collaborating with engineering teams on schema changes and queries, and supporting high availability and scalability requirements.



The Database Administrator will also contribute to documentation, automation of routine tasks, and continuous improvement of database operations. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and Databases, including installation, configuration, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and data modeling, including schema optimization and indexing strategies.
- Candidates should possess troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, including query optimization and root-cause analysis of database issues.
- Candidates should possess experience with Replication and high-availability configurations to support scalable, resilient systems.
- Experience with relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and familiarity with SQL is required.
- Knowledge of database security best practices, access control, and compliance with data protection standards is beneficial.
- Experience working with cloud or virtualized environments and monitoring tools is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
