Key Responsibilities
Perform incoming material inspection and verify certificates against approved specifications.
Check material identification, heat numbers, dimensions, thickness and traceability.
Inspect cutting, edge preparation, fit-up, welding and dimensional tolerances.
Verify welder identification, WPS applicability and welding consumables control.
Coordinate RT, UT, MT and PT in accordance with the approved ITP and applicable code requirements.
Inspect vessel nozzles, flanges, supports, skid frames, equipment supports and lifting attachments against approved drawings and project requirements.
Witness hydrostatic and other specified pressure/functional tests using approved procedures.
Maintain inspection reports, weld maps, traceability records, NDT reports and test records.
Prepare punch lists and non-conformance reports and track corrective actions.
Verify final painting/coating, preservation, identification plates and equipment marking requirements.
Compile manufacturing quality records for review by the Senior QC Engineer.
