To program, operate, and monitor robotic welding systems, ensuring quality production, minimum cycle time, and effective utilization of robotic welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Program, operate, and troubleshoot robotic welding systems such as ABB, Yaskawa, and Team-oriented Robots (Cobot).
Develop and modify robot programs for MIG and TIG welding applications.
Set up welding parameters such as voltage, current, wire feed speed, and welding speed.
Perform robot teaching, TCP calibration, tool calibration, and touch-up programming.
Understand robot coordinates, reference points, and welding paths.
Operate robotic welding machines as per production requirements.
Identify and rectify welding defects such as porosity, undercut, spatter, and improper weld joints.
Ensure proper fixture setting, component positioning, and welding accuracy.
Monitor robot performance and maintain cycle time and productivity.
Troubleshoot robot alarms, welding faults, and program-related issues.




Perform preventive maintenance and daily inspection of robotic welding equipment.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

Skills Required
ABB / Yaskawa / Cobot robot programming and operation.
MIG / TIG robotic welding knowledge.
Robot teaching and offline/online programming.
TCP calibration and tool centre point setting.
Welding parameter setting and optimization.
Robot troubleshooting and error rectification.
Knowledge of welding fixtures and jigs.
Knowledge of welding quality standards.

Qualification
Relevant experience in robotic welding programming and operation.

Experience
3–8 years of experience in robotic welding programming and operation.
Hands-on experience in ABB / Yaskawa / Cobot welding systems preferred.
