The Fisherman’s Wharf, Calangute is looking for a skilled and motivated Chinese DCDP (Demi Chef de Partie) to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Chinese cuisine, strong kitchen fundamentals, and the ability to maintain quality and consistency during service.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the CDP and Sous Chef in the day-to-day operations of the Chinese kitchen section.
Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
Ensure proper mise en place is completed before service.
Maintain consistency in taste, portion size and presentation.
Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
Ensure proper storage, labelling and rotation of food items as per FIFO standards.
Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef of shortages or requirements.
Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen equipment.




Support the team during busy service periods and ensure timely preparation of orders.
Follow instructions from the CDP, Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

Requirements
Previous experience in a Chinese kitchen is preferred.
Good knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients.
Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant workplace.
Positive teamwork, discipline and communication skills.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
