Role Title: Cost Control and Budgeting
Department: Projects
Qualification – BE Civil / PGP
Experience – 3 to 6 years experience
Industry - Real Estate Industry only
Primary Objective: Lead the design, execution, and monitoring of business plans, capital / operating budgets, and cost-control frameworks to ensure financial targets and project scopes are met without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities
Budget Development: Lead the annual and multi-year budgeting process (operating and capital expenditure budgets) in alignment with corporate strategy.
Resource Allocation: Translate high-level business goals into actionable financial plans and department level allocations.

Cost Control & Variance Analysis
Baseline Tracking: Establish cost baselines using work breakdown structures (WBS) or similar financial controls.
Actual vs. Budget Monitoring:



Track real-time expenditures against approved budgets, identifying cost overruns or savings early.
Variance Reporting: Investigate root causes of budget variances and issue actionable recommendations or corrective action plans to leadership.
Value Engineering: Balance cost-cutting initiatives with quality, risk, and delivery schedules to prevent downstream rework.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Budget Accuracy: Variance within an acceptable threshold (between actuals and forecasted/budgeted figures.
Forecast Reliability: Timely and accurate delivery of monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts.
Cost Saving & Efficiency: Measurable reduction in waste, unapproved overruns, or non-essential expenditures without impacting quality.
