Strategic Sourcing : Develop and implement strategies to find and qualify suppliers for complex railway components (e.g., castings, forgings, electronics).
Vendor Management : Build solid relationships, negotiate pricing/terms, manage performance (KPIs), and conduct supplier audits.
Quality & Compliance : Ensure all procured items meet stringent railway standards (IRS, RDSO, ISO), engineering specs, and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with Engineering (technical needs), Production (material requirements), and Inventory (stock levels).
Cost & Budget Control : Manage procurement budgets, analyze costs, identify savings, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
Inventory & Logistics : Oversee demand forecasting, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials to production.
Process Improvement :



Enhance purchasing systems, implement best practices, and train staff.

Key Skills & Qualifications
Education : Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.
Experience : Proven experience in railway, heavy engineering, or automotive procurement.
Knowledge : Deep understanding of railway standards, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Skills : Negotiation, analytical skills, team leadership, ERP proficiency, risk management.
