Stores In-Charge – Foundry

Location: Sawali Industrial Estate – Vadodara - Gujrat

Experience: 8-10 years in stores and inventory management, preferably in a foundry Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering,

1. Job Purpose

To manage the day-to-day operations of the foundry stores. The role is responsible for inventory accuracy, material traceability, cost control, compliance with established procedures, and uninterrupted production and maintenance operations.

C. Material Issue and Production Support

D. Inventory Management and Control

E. Foundry-Specific Stores Management

- Ensure availability and control of key foundry inputs such as:
- Ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, pig iron, ferroalloys, and other charge materials, as applicable.
- Moulding sand, core sand, binders, resins, hardeners, coatings, and additives.
- Refractory bricks, castables, ramming masses, crucibles, and insulation materials.
- Grinding wheels, cutting tools, fettling tools, and other process consumables.
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and furnace maintenance spares.
- Lubricants, oils, welding consumables, safety equipment, and PPE.
- Maintain appropriate identification and traceability of alloy grades and charge materials, where required.




- Coordinate with Quality and Production to ensure that materials are issued as per approved specifications and process requirements.
- Monitor consumption patterns of critical consumables and highlight abnormal usage or wastage.

4. Required Skills and Competencies

- Knowledge of stores and inventory management of a foundry environment.
- Understanding of foundry materials, consumables, maintenance spares, and material traceability.
- Working knowledge of ERP inventory transactions and MS office – advanced Excel.
- Ability to analyse stock reports, consumption trends, and inventory discrepancies.
- Good coordination, communication, and team-management skills.
- Strong focus on accuracy, discipline, safety, housekeeping, and cost control.
- Ability to prioritise urgent production requirements while maintaining process controls.

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
