Urgent Hiring – Senior Optometrist & Patient Counsellor

Position

Senior Optometrist & Patient Counsellor

Qualification

- B.Optom / M.Optom from a recognized institution

Experience

- 2–4 Years of clinical experience as an Optometrist
- Experience in an Eye Hospital or Corporate Ophthalmology Clinic preferred

Work Timings

? Shift 1: 10:00 AM – 07:00 PM

Or

? Shift 2: 12:00 PM – 09:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Optometry

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, and binocular vision assessment
- Diagnose and manage refractive errors and common ocular conditions
- Conduct diagnostic tests including OCT, Visual Fields, Corneal Topography, A-Scan/B-Scan
- Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and low vision aids
- Identify cases requiring ophthalmologist consultation or surgical intervention
- Mentor junior optometrists and clinical staff

Patient Counselling

- Counsel patients regarding Cataract, LASIK, Glaucoma, Retina, and other eye surgeries
- Explain surgical procedures, premium IOL options, risks, benefits, and post-operative care
- Address patient concerns and assist in treatment decision-making




- Prepare and explain surgery packages and quotations

Insurance & TPA Coordination

- Coordinate pre-authorizations and cashless insurance approvals
- Liaise with TPAs and insurance companies for smooth claim processing
- Guide patients regarding insurance coverage, documentation, and co-payments
- Review medical documents before submission and resolve insurance-related queries

Skills Required

- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in Optometry
- Excellent patient counselling and communication abilities
- Knowledge of TPA, cashless insurance, and medical documentation
- Good interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
