AgileEngine is looking for an experienced, hands-on **Python Developer** to work on an exciting project, contributing to next-generation applications and calculation platforms for its Sustainability & Climate Business.
- 4+ years of solid hands-on experience in Python development
- Proficiency in NumPy and Pandas for research-oriented calculations and data processing
- Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask and RESTful API development
- Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar frameworks
- Experience building cloud-based ETL pipelines, batch processing, and data integration workflows
- Experience developing and managing cloud-based microservices
- Understanding of unit testing frameworks such as PyTest/Unittest
- Strong knowledge of Git, DevOps, and security best practices
- Experience designing and developing data-driven applications
- Experience maintaining legacy Python applications and handling production incidents
⭐ **Good to Have**
- Domain knowledge of climate and sustainability products, including emissions, physical risk, and biodiversity
- Experience with MSCI's climate and sustainability platforms
- Exposure to AI/LLM-based solutions for business problems
- Experience with open-source technologies
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
