We are looking for an experienced Data Platform Leader to drive the strategy, governance, and evolution of enterprise-scale data platforms across APAC.

This role sits at the intersection of business, IT, and data, with a strong focus on enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems that deliver meaningful business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Data Platform Strategy: Define and execute the APAC data platform strategy, aligned with AI & Analytics priorities, driving scalability, consolidation, and cost efficiency.
- Platform Ownership: Manage enterprise-scale cloud/hybrid platforms, prioritize data ingestion and enhancements, and ensure alignment with global standards.
- Technical Solutions: Translate business requirements into technical solutions, oversee architecture and data flows, and provide hands-on support for pipelines, pilots, and POCs when required.
- Data Product Governance: Lead the full data product lifecycle, ensuring data quality, governance, and alignment with global data models.
- Data Literacy & Enablement: Drive sandbox deployment, establish governance frameworks, and support country upskilling and platform adoption.
- Data Management: Ensure data cataloguing, metadata quality, end-to-end lineage, and compliance with ORDS standards.




- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and develop a technical team while partnering with business, IT, and global stakeholders to drive alignment and results.

Requirements:

Experience & Leadership

- 8+ years in data management, data engineering, or platform leadership, including at least 3 years in a regional or global capacity.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale data platforms, implementing governance frameworks, and overseeing the data product lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to lead and develop technical teams.

Technical Expertise

- Databricks: Advanced proficiency in data engineering, orchestration, and analytics.
- Azure Data Ecosystem: Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, and related services.
- Data Modeling: Dimensional, lakehouse, medallion architectures, schema management, and data contracts.
- Data Governance: Purview, DataHub, metadata management, data quality, and lineage tracking.
- Security & Compliance: PII, RBAC, AD groups, RLS, GDPR, and local data regulations.
- Cost Optimization: Ability to analyze and optimize data platform performance and costs.

Communication & Leadership

- Strategic thinker capable of defining and executing a unified data platform vision across multiple countries.
- Excellent communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into business value and engage confidently with senior leaders and technical teams.
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills across global and cross-functional teams.
- Pragmatic, decisive, and action-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Analytical problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to lead change and drive adoption of new standards.
