Role Description The Sales Associate role at RAI is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Sales Associate will engage with member retailers and prospects to promote RAI programs, services, and events, and support membership acquisition and retention. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying sales opportunities, conducting outreach via calls, emails, and in-person meetings,



and maintaining accurate records of interactions in CRM or tracking tools. The Sales Associate will also assist in preparing sales reports, supporting event participation, and contributing to campaigns that expand RAI's reach within the retail community.

Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship skills, with the ability to engage professionally with retail businesses.

Effective communication skills, including transparent spoken and written English, and the ability to present offerings confidently.

Basic proficiency with CRM or sales tracking tools, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and email communication platforms.

Prior experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles in retail or related industries is an advantage.

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Interest in the retail sector and willingness to learn about industry trends, best practices, and RAI's initiatives.
