Hands-on CTO / Lead AI Engineer AI Recruitment Platform | Remote — India or Pakistan

Compensation: Full-time: 50 hours per week

Lead the engineering. We are launching a new AI recruitment technology company focused on the US legal and accounting markets.

This is a new spin-off business within an established recruitment group , with its own product, brand and engineering team. This role is dedicated to building and growing the current technology company.

The startup will benefit from the group's industry expertise, market access and commercial relationships, while developing and marketing its platform as a standalone business.

You should already be comfortable using AI coding tools to accelerate implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring and documentation, while taking responsibility for the quality of everything shipped.

What we are building

A shared platform with specialist experiences for lawyers and accountants that automatically:

Conducts AI voice or chat interviews.

Understands experience, qualifications, salary expectations, location and career goals.

You will own delivery of a live pilot where a candidate can register, complete an AI interview, be matched to suitable opportunities and progress through the platform with an accurate, useful profile.

You will define a realistic launch scope, ship working features every week and test the product with real users. From there, you will improve matching, expand automation and develop both specialist markets.

Product architecture, database design and technical roadmap.

Hands-on development across backend, frontend and AI workflows.

AI voice/chat integration, CV processing and structured data extraction.

Deployment, monitoring, security, reliability and operating costs.

Clear documentation and regular demonstrations of working software.

A product you personally helped build from initial concept to production.





Strong full-stack engineering skills and sound database design.

Practical experience shipping AI applications used by real people.

Strong practical experience with Claude and Claude Code , including examples of how you use them to deliver working software.

The ability to review, test and maintain AI-generated code.

Experience with APIs, background jobs and reliable automated workflows.

The ability to prevent unsupported AI claims, evaluate output quality and recover from failures.

Strong English communication and the judgement to turn commercial goals into clear engineering priorities.

Recruitment industry experience is preferred , particularly experience building recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems, candidate matching tools or recruitment automation.

Experience with voice AI and marketplaces would also be valuable. Previous CTO experience is welcome, but a strong technical lead ready to step into the role will also be considered.

Technology

We expect strong capability in Python and/or TypeScript, modern frontend development, relational databases and cloud deployment.

You will help choose the wider technology stack and explain your decisions in terms of delivery speed, reliability, maintainability and cost.

Remote, based in India or Pakistan.

Full-time commitment of 50 hours per week.

Compensation up to US$4,000 per month , depending on demonstrated capability.
