Today, validation is performed informally by engineers and technicians alongside their regular design work - there is no independent validation function. As you demonstrate ownership, judgement and results, there's a clear path to growing into a Validation Manager building out a team under you.
Location is Bengaluru, and this is a work-from-office role - no remote or hybrid option.
Translate product and system requirements into a formal Design Validation Plan (DVP) and Product Validation Plan (PVP) spanning mechanical, electrical and firmware/system-level behavior.
Write test procedures and execute verification and validation testing across the product.
Build validation processes, documentation and tooling essentially from zero, replacing today's informal 'kitchen validation' approach with something rigorous and repeatable.
Own the product development lifecycle from a product quality perspective end-to-end, not just execute tests handed down to you.
Participate in DFMEA activities and build test plans driven by the risks identified there, combined with available specification sheets.
Set up systematic data logging and reporting for test results.
Experience can range anywhere from about 3 to 6 years - what matters far more than years on paper is the right approach: rigour, coverage-mindedness and a genuine drive to protect product quality.
