To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer, you should have experience with:

Overall experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, process mining, business intelligence, data warehousing, or enterprise data platforms.
Hands-on experience with Celonis, including Data Integration, Data Pools, Data Models, Transformations, Analyses, and Process Mining use cases.
Strong SQL expertise, including complex joins, window functions, performance tuning, incremental loading, and data quality validation.
Strong understanding of Celonis Process Query Language (PQL), process mining concepts, event logs, activity tables, case tables, and KPI modelling.
Experience building scalable data pipelines into Celonis from enterprise systems using connectors, APIs, databases, or scheduled data extracts.
Good understanding of banking and financial services processes, including KYC, client onboarding, lending, payments, operations, reconciliation, complaints management, risk controls, and regulatory reporting.
Experience with relational databases and enterprise or cloud data platforms such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, and Azure.
Ability to analyse source system data structures and translate business process logic into reliable Celonis data models.
Robust troubleshooting skills across data load failures, transformation issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including documentation, backlog refinement, sprint execution, and stakeholder demonstration.
Celonis certification in Data Engineering, Process Mining, EMS,



or related learning tracks.
Experience with Object-Centric Process Mining and Celonis process intelligence capabilities.
Exposure to Python, Java, REST APIs, ETL tools, orchestration tools, and automation platforms.
Experience in enterprise governance, production support, incident management, access management, and release management.
Knowledge of banking technology controls, data privacy, information security, and audit requirements.
Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, technology, architecture, compliance, and operations.
Ability to create reusable data engineering patterns, templates, and accelerators for multiple business processes.

To define strategic group objectives of and internal functions including, financial and business strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.
Development and execution of acquisition, disposal and strategic partnership activities, and other strategic transactions on behalf of the Barclays Group, including the identification of potential acquisition targets, building an acquisition pipeline and identifying non-core businesses and/or assets that can sold to generate value through disposal analysis, as well as maintaining an active coverage model with key internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring and evaluation of the financial performance,



market position and strategic fit of potential acquisition and partnership targets. Including (but not limited to) detailed valuation, returns, profitability and cost analysis.
Development of business cases for potential acquisitions, including financial projections, strategic rationale, and synergy assessments.
Management and communication of post-merger integration plans and processes, including culture, operations, and systems.
Identification of industry trends and developments related to M&A; tools and techniques by attending conferences, conducting market research, and participating in training.
