Job Summary Orbittal is looking for an experienced Design Head – MEP to lead and oversee the complete design function across MEP projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, efficient, and timely design delivery while driving design standards, cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and team development. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the MEP design function across multiple projects.
Ensure timely delivery of accurate and high-quality design outputs.
Establish and implement design standards, procedures, and best practices.
Review and approve design drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
Ensure compliance with client requirements, statutory codes, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, project teams, and other stakeholders for integrated design solutions.
Oversee design calculations, material selection, and technical specifications.
Identify and resolve complex technical and design-related challenges.
Monitor team performance, productivity, resource allocation, and project deliverables.
Mentor, guide, and develop the design team.
Drive innovation,



standardization, and continuous improvement in design processes.
Maintain necessary documentation, MIS reports, and audit readiness.
Support client meetings, presentations, and design reviews. JD- Design Head MEP

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong expertise in MEP systems – Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting .
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP , and related design software.
In-depth understanding of applicable codes, standards, and statutory regulations.
Strong project planning, execution, and coordination capabilities.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and stakeholder management.

Authority & Decision-Making The Design Head – MEP will have authority to approve design drawings, layouts, and technical submissions; manage the design team and allocate resources; recommend and approve materials, specifications, and design changes; and represent the design function in discussions with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Critical issues will be escalated to the VP – Design / Management as required. JD- Design Head MEP
