- 7+ years software development or data engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Python, including environment and dependency management and web application frameworks.
- Professional experience developing, deploying, and maintaining webapps, and with relational databases, including schema design and migrations.
- Conduct in depth code reviews, including source code, tests, and documentation.
- Practical exposure to developing agentic systems, such as RAG pipelines, chatbots, or LLM orchestrators.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 5+ years with Python web frameworks, especially FastAPI+SQLAlchemy or Django.
- PostgreSQL and its ecosystem of extensions, especially pgvector or TimescaleDB.
- Cloud native application development, especially using Azure.
- Previous qualified experience working with financial documents.
- Responsible use of AI assistants to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation tasks.
