About the Role:
We are looking for a street-smart, trend-savvy Fashion Designer & Retail Stylist with around 2 years of experience for our Western Wear retail store in Lokhandwala, Andheri West, Mumbai.This is not a typical desk-bound design job! We want someone with a sharp eye and a flare for fashion who loves going out into the market, visiting Infiniti Mall, Citi Mall, Zara, H&M;, and popular Lokhandwala high-street boutiques, to see what styles are moving fast, what customers are buying, and how top stores are styling their racks. You will use your on-ground research and fashion instinct to recommend and design the best-selling Western Wear collection for our store.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Mall & Market Scouting: Regularly visit nearby malls, high-street retail stores, and competitor boutiques in Lokhandwala and Andheri West to study trending silhouettes, fabrics, colors, and price points.
- Commercial Recommendations: Advise directly on which styles, cuts, and trends (dresses, tops, co-ord sets, denims, shirts, trousers) will sell best to the local Lokhandwala walk-in crowd.
- Design & Sample Creation: Translate your market research into fresh, wearable Western Wear designs and coordinate closely with master tailors and vendors to produce fast-moving samples.
- Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Visit fabric markets to handpick trendy denims, cottons, knits, linens, and trims that match high-street mall quality while keeping costs practical for retail.
- Store Styling & Visual Display:



Recommend how to style mannequins, window displays, and store racks so walking customers are drawn inside.
- Customer Pulse Check: Observe what walk-in shoppers in our store are asking for, check trial room feedback, and quickly adapt our upcoming collection to match local demand.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience: 1 to 3 years (around 2 years preferred) of hands-on experience in Western Wear as a Fashion Designer, Retail Stylist, Buyer, or Fashion Merchandiser.
- Strong Fashion & Commercial Sense: An intuitive eye for colors, fits, and trends. You should be able to walk into a mall or boutique, spot a winning outfit immediately, and understand why it is selling.
- Local Market Familiarity: Candidates residing in the Mumbai Western Suburbs or familiar with the Lokhandwala / Andheri West shopping culture and crowd will have a robust advantage.
- Technical Know-How: Practical knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, fittings, and basic design sketches/tech packs (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or clear manual/digital flats).
- Communication & Energy: Outgoing, field-ready personality who enjoys market visits, talking to vendors/tailors, and working directly with the store owner to drive fast sales.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, or Styling (from NIFT, Pearl, INIFD, SNDT, JD Institute, or any reputed institute), OR Any Graduate with strong practical Western Wear retail experience.
