Job Description: SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant
Role: Custom Software Engineer / SAP MDG Consultant
Location: Hyderabad, India

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to design, develop, configure, and support SAP MDG solutions aligned with business requirements. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement master data governance processes, integrate SAP MDG with other SAP modules, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions based on business requirements.
- Develop and maintain master data models, workflows, business rules, and validation processes.
- Integrate SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and other SAP modules.
- Configure change request workflows, data replication, and data governance processes.
- Troubleshoot technical and functional issues and provide effective resolutions.
- Ensure master data accuracy, consistency, quality, and compliance with governance policies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams.
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to solution design, and support key project decisions.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide technical guidance to team members.




- Monitor project progress, support production environments, and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP MDG implementation, configuration, and support.
- Experience in SAP MDG data modeling, data governance, validation, and derivation.
- Knowledge of change request configuration, workflow management, and BRF+.
- Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and other SAP modules.
- Understanding of Data Replication Framework (DRF), ALE/IDoc, and data replication processes.
- Solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and application support skills.
- Understanding of application development methodologies and enterprise data management principles.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing technical deliverables.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

- SAP MDG for Business Partner, Customer, Supplier/Vendor, Material, or Finance master data.
- SAP ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAP Business Workflow, and web services.
- SAP MM, SAP SD, and SAP FI/CO integration.
- SAP MDG implementation, enhancement, migration, and production support.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA), incident management, and performance optimization.
