Position: Assistant Manager / Manager – Procurement (Seasonings)

Location: Wayanad (Accommodation and food will be provided by the company)

Qualification: BTech / MSc / BSc in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Production, Statistics or a related field.

Experience: 7–14 years of relevant procurement experience. Experience in food processing, FMCG, spices, seasonings or food ingredients is preferred. Strong exposure to ingredient sourcing, strategic procurement and supplier development is essential.

Salary: 10 Lpa - 12 Lpa (Negotiable)

Job Summary:
Assistant Manager / Manager – Procurement (Seasonings & Food Ingredients) to lead end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, spices, seasonings, food ingredients and other production-related materials. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations, cost optimization and inventory management within the food processing, FMCG, spices or food ingredients industry. The role requires close coordination with Production, R&D;, Quality Assurance,



Finance and other internal teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability at competitive costs while maintaining the required quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage procurement of spices, seasonings, additives and other food ingredients based on production requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions.
- Develop alternative suppliers to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor stock levels, consumption and purchase orders to maintain optimum inventory.
- Coordinate with R&D; for sourcing recent ingredients and seasoning samples for product development.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D; and Finance teams.
- Ensure materials meet approved quality specifications and food safety requirements.
- Collect and maintain supplier documents, specifications, COAs and other quality certificates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through market research and effective negotiations.
- Maintain purchase records, supplier details and procurement reports.
