Role Description The Cyber Security Consultant role is a full-time, remote position responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing security controls across client environments. Day-to-day activities include performing security and vulnerability assessments, reviewing application and network architectures, and recommending risk mitigation strategies aligned with industry standards. The consultant will develop and refine security policies, procedures, and incident response plans,



and collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical security solutions.

The role also involves preparing clear technical documentation and reports, supporting audits and compliance initiatives, and staying current with emerging threats, tools, and best practices to continuously improve client security posture.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including security frameworks, risk management, and governance.
- Hands-on experience with Application Security, including secure SDLC practices, code review, and remediation guidance.
- Proficiency in Network Security, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure network design.
- Practical skills in Vulnerability Assessment, including use of common tools, analysis of findings, and remediation planning.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, Security+) are highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, secure architecture design, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2) is a plus.
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working remotely with distributed teams and clients.
