Job Title: IBM i / AS400 Support Engineer Location: Bangalore, India

1. Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IBM i / AS400 Support Engineer to support and maintain Agiliti’s business-critical IBM i(AS/400) platform. The environment consists of over 25 years of custom development and supports essential business operations, making platform stability, knowledge retention, and continuity critical operational. The ideal candidatewill have strongexperience in IBM i (AS/400), RPG/RPGLE, DB2, and production support. This role will work closely with existing engineering teams to support daily operations,

troubleshoot production issues, manage deployments, monitor system performance, and participate in knowledge transfer activities to ensure seamless ongoing support.

1. Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage and support the IBM i (AS/400/iSeries) setting.
- Monitor jobs, batch processes,and overall systemperformance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and application issues.
- Support application deployments, releases, and change management activities.
- Ensure platform stability, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with documenting critical business processes, support procedures, and system knowledge.
- Collaborate closelywith engineering teams during transition, maintenance, and support activities.
- Support and maintain applications built using RPG, RPGLE, Lansa, and DB2 technologies.
- Perform root cause analysisand recommend preventive actions for recurring issues.
- Participate in operational reviewsand continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Years of Experience:

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM i/ AS400 administration, support, or development.
- Experience supportingmission-critical enterprise applications in a production setting.

1. Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional):

- Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.




- IBM i / AS400 related certifications are preferred.
- Relevant database, infrastructure, or system administration certifications are an added advantage.

- RPG / RPGLE Development or Support
- DB2 Database Support and Maintenance
- Production Supportand Incident Management
- Job Scheduling and Batch Processing
- System Monitoring, Performance Tuning,and Troubleshooting
- Application Deployment and Release Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of ITIL-based support processes Nice to Have:
- IBM System i experience
- Legacy platform modernization exposure
- ERP or business application support experience
- Lansa development/support experience
- Knowledge transferand technical documentation expertise
