Housekeeper / Housekeeping Attendant

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic appeal across all assigned areas. This position requires a dedicated individual who can execute routine cleaning procedures, manage linen and supply inventories, and ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations to deliver an exceptional setting for guests, residents, or staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Cleaning & Room Maintenance

- Surface Care: Dust, polish, and sanitize furniture, fixtures, woodwork, and window sills.
- Floor Care: Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum carpets, rugs, and hard floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Window & Glass Cleaning: Clean mirrors, glass partitions, and interior windows to eliminate smudges and streaks.
- Specialized Deep Cleaning: Periodically execute deep-cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, upholstery steam cleaning, and wall washing.

2. Sanitation & Bathroom Care

- Disinfection: Thoroughly scrub and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, bathtubs, tiles, and countertops.
- Replenishment:



Monitor and restock essential guest amenities and restroom supplies, including soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and toiletries.
- Odor Control: Ensure all sanitary spaces maintain a fresh, clean scent through proper ventilation and sanitizing agents.

3. Waste & Environmental Management

- Trash Disposal: Empty all waste receptacles, ash trays, and recycling bins, replacing liners daily.
- Hazardous Waste: Safely handle and dispose of specific waste categories according to established protocols.
- Exterior Touch-ups: Keep immediate outdoor pathways, balconies, or entryways transparent of debris and litter.

4. Inventory, Equipment, & Administrative Duties

- Cart & Supply Management: Organize and restock housekeeping carts and storage closets at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and properly store cleaning equipment (vacuums, mops, buffers) after use.
- Reporting & Documentation: Immediately log and report property damage, maintenance issues, safety hazards, or lost-and-found items to management.
