LIC has the following stipendiary Agent Schemes:

Stipend is subject to prescribed performance conditions. Commission is payable separately.

LIC provides various welfare and social security benefits to its agents in recognition of their contribution to the organisation. The major benefits include:

1. Gratuity Benefit – Maximum gratuity increased to ₹5 lakh, subject to eligibility and applicable rules.

2. Term Insurance Benefit – Free term insurance cover ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹1.50 lakh, depending on eligibility.

3. Renewal Commission – Reappointed agents are eligible for renewal commission on qualifying business, subject to rules.

4. Group Insurance Scheme – Insurance protection for agents against death, as per applicable coverage and conditions.

6. Club Membership Benefits – Prestige and additional facilities for qualifying agents, such as office allowance, telephone facilities and other entitlements.

8. Agent Career Schemes – Opportunities under CCA, RCA and other career agency schemes, subject to eligibility and prevailing guidelines.

9. Training and Development – Professional training, digital tools, marketing support and infrastructure facilities.

10. Hereditary Commission – Eligible family members may receive commission after the agent's death, subject to LIC rules.

Important enhanced welfare benefits (2023): Gratuity increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, and term insurance cover enhanced from ₹3,000–₹10,000 to ₹25,000–₹1.50 lakh
