- Min 8+ years of experience in Oracle database administration in production environments on Solaris and Linux OS.
- Replication setup, maintain and troubleshoot
Capable of performing Database Administration tasks independently in sybase 11.x, 12.x, 15.x, 16.x Sybase ASE DBA tasks of standalone and Clustered setup.
- Should have some exposure to process oriented working environment with valuable multitasking ability.
- Database Lifecycle Management - Database creation, setup & decommissioning.
- Database event/alert monitoring, space management, user management, Database upgrades & migrations, cloning, Database backup, restore & recovery, Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, security and database corruption issues in a critical production environment.
- Knowledgeable about Postgres database server and OS resources allocations and usage.
- Translate Oracle PL/SQL constructs to Postgres PL/pgSQL, i.e., Oracle packages, global temporary files, etc.
- Postgres performance/tuning analysis be able to tune Postgres PL/SQL code to meet required SLAs.
