– Head of Spare Parts (JCB Division) Senior Management Position Designation: Head – Spare Parts Department: Spare Parts / Parts Operations Industry: Construction Equipment – JCB Reports To: CEO

Experience:
10-15 Years (preferably in construction equipment or automobile industry) 1. Job Purpose To lead and manage the complete spare parts business of the JCB dealership, ensuring maximum parts sales, profitability, inventory control, customer satisfaction and availability of genuine JCB parts. The Spare Parts Head will be responsible for developing the parts business through retail sales, workshop consumption, counter sales, field sales and institutional customers while maintaining optimum inventory levels. 2. Key Roles & Responsibilities A. Spare Parts Business Development
* Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual spare parts sales targets.
* Develop and grow retail, counter and workshop parts sales.
* Increase genuine JCB parts penetration in the market.
* Develop relationships with contractors, fleet owners and equipment operators.
* Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
* Increase sales of rapid-moving, slow-moving and high-value spare parts.
* Drive seasonal campaigns and promotional activities. B. Inventory & Stock Management
* Maintain optimum inventory levels as per business requirements.
* Ensure availability of fast-moving and critical spare parts.
* Monitor stock ageing, non-moving and obsolete inventory.
* Maintain proper inventory turnover and stock accuracy.
* Ensure timely ordering and replenishment of spare parts.
* Minimise emergency procurement and stock shortages.
* Conduct regular physical stock audits. C. Parts Sales & Customer Management
* Ensure excellent customer service at the parts counter.
* Ensure quick response to customer enquiries and quotations.
* Develop a strong network of retail customers and local mechanics.
* Monitor lost sales due to non-availability of parts.
* Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of parts.




* Develop customer retention and loyalty programmes. D. Workshop & Service Coordination
* Ensure adequate parts availability for workshop requirements.
* Coordinate with service managers for daily parts planning.
* Minimise machine downtime due to spare parts shortages.
* Ensure priority supply of parts for breakdown cases.
* Monitor workshop parts consumption and internal billing.
* Maintain coordination between service and parts departments. E. Financial Management & Profitability
* Achieve monthly spare parts gross profit targets.
* Maintain healthy gross profit margins.
* Control discounts and unauthorised price reductions.
* Monitor credit sales and outstanding payments.
* Ensure timely collection of customer dues.
* Control inventory carrying costs and working capital.
* Prepare and monitor the annual parts department budget. F. Team Management & Development
* Lead parts managers, storekeepers, counter sales executives and field sales executives.
* Allocate individual sales targets and responsibilities.
* Conduct regular performance reviews.
* Train employees on JCB parts identification and catalogue usage.
* Develop a performance-oriented sales team.
* Ensure discipline and accountability within the department. G. OEM Coordination & Compliance
* Coordinate with JCB India for parts ordering and availability.
* Monitor OEM schemes, incentives and parts programmes.
* Ensure compliance with JCB dealership standards.
* Implement proper documentation and inventory procedures.
* Monitor warranty-related parts claims and returns.
* Ensure that only genuine JCB parts are promoted and supplied. 3. Qualifications & Experience
* Graduate and above
* 10-15 years of experience in spare parts operations.
* Experience in JCB, construction equipment, earthmoving machinery or automotive dealerships preferred.
* Strong knowledge of spare parts catalogues and inventory management systems.
* Experience in managing a large spare parts inventory.
