Role Description The Store Manager at Polar Bear Ice Cream Sundaes is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, including staff scheduling, task delegation, inventory management, and ensuring the parlour is clean, safe, and visually appealing. The Store Manager leads and coaches team members to deliver warm, effective customer service and uphold brand standards.

Key responsibilities
include managing cash handling and point-of-sale activities, monitoring sales performance, implementing promotional initiatives, and resolving customer concerns. The Store Manager also supports hiring and training,



maintains compliance with company policies and local regulations, and reports operational and sales metrics to area leadership. Qualifications
• Experience in retail or food service management, including supervising teams and overseeing daily store operations.
• Skills in customer service and relationship management, with the ability to handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Competence in inventory control, cash handling, basic budgeting, and use of point-of-sale systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and people management skills, including training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Basic understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with local regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Previous experience in QSR, café, or ice cream parlour settings and a passion for customer experience are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a diploma or degree in hospitality, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
