(Remote) Employment type: [Full time / Contract] About Brainster Math Brainster Math is an online math tutoring and learning program that helps children build deep concept understanding and confidence in math. We serve parents and students across the US and globally, and our social channels are often the first place families meet our teaching style. Role Summary We are looking for an articulate, camera-confident math educator who can turn math concepts into short, engaging reels that parents trust and children enjoy. You will write, film and publish reels in the style of leading math education brands.
You are first a strong communicator and second comfortable in creating videos Every reel must be mathematically correct, pedagogically sound and fun to watch.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and script 3 to 5 short-form and long-form math reels per week (45 seconds
- 60 seconds) for Instagram, YouTube Shorts (2-4 minutes) and other platforms.
• Present concepts clearly on camera, covering topics such as place value, fractions, mental math tricks, word problems, geometry and Math Kangaroo style puzzles.
• Break one concept into a hook, a clear explanation, a worked example and a takeaway.
• Film and edit reels (or work with an editor) using on-screen text, whiteboard or paper demos, animations and captions.
• Research trending formats, audio and competitor content, and adapt them to our brand and audience.
• Keep all content mathematically accurate and age-appropriate for K to Grade 10, with a content check before every publish.
• Align content topics with our curriculum, campaigns and enrollment goals.




• Track reel performance (views, watch time, saves, shares, follower growth) and use the data to improve hooks and formats.
• Collaborate with the marketing, curriculum and tutor teams on content calendars and parent-facing messaging.
• Occasionally host live sessions, Q&As; or short demo classes. Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mathematics, Engineering, Education or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience tutoring or teaching math to children (K to Grade 10) in person or online.
• Excellent spoken English: clear, expressive, neutral and easy for US and international parents to follow.
• Strong concept mastery of school math, and the ability to explain the “why” behind each method, not only the steps.
• Hands-on experience creating videos: shooting with a phone or camera, good lighting and audio, and editing with tools such as CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro or Canva.
• Comfortable and natural on camera, with high energy that suits a young audience.
• Strong scripting and storytelling skills for short-form content.
• Understanding of social media trends, hooks and platform best practices.
• Preferred Qualifications
• An existing portfolio of educational reels or videos (personal channel, tutoring page or past work).
• Experience teaching math online.
Experience with motion graphics, whiteboard or digital pen tools (GoodNotes, Explain Everything, After Effects).
• Basic knowledge of Instagram analytics and content SEO (captions, hashtags, keywords). Core Competencies
