Job Description
The Fisherman's Wharf, Hyderabad, is looking for a skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) specializing in South Indian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques, traditional recipes, and kitchen operations, with the ability to maintain high standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, uttapams, sambars, chutneys, and other regional specialties.
- Assist the Chef de Partie (CDP) in managing daily kitchen operations within the South Indian section.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, portion sizes, and presentation according to restaurant standards.
- Carry out daily mise en place and ensure timely preparation of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management and requisitions.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients following FIFO procedures.




- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and timely food service.
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff when required.
- Follow standard recipes, portion control guidelines, and kitchen SOPs.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a DCDP or Commis I specializing in South Indian cuisine in a reputed restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of South Indian dishes, ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
- Experience in handling live dosa counters and high-volume kitchen operations will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
