As we continue to expand our commodity trading operations, we are seeking an experienced Iron Ore Trader with strong market intelligence, commercial acumen, expertise in sourcing and trading, and a well-established network across the ferrous commodities market to drive business growth and trading opportunities. Job Summary We are looking for a result-oriented and commercially driven Iron Ore Trader to manage domestic and international iron ore sourcing, trading, and business development. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of iron ore markets, pricing trends, quality specifications, logistics, and trade regulations, along with a proven track record of executing profitable trading transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Iron Ore Trading: Identify, negotiate, and execute profitable domestic and international iron ore trading opportunities.
- Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and maintain relationships with iron ore miners, producers, suppliers, exporters, importers, and industrial buyers.
- Business Development: Expand the company's trading network, identify new markets, and develop long-term business relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor global and domestic iron ore prices, demand-supply dynamics, market trends, competitor activities, and emerging trading opportunities.
- Commercial Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts,



quality specifications, and delivery schedules to maximise profitability.
- Risk Management: Evaluate price volatility, counterparty risks, currency exposure, credit risks, and other commercial risks associated with trading transactions.
- Trade Execution: Coordinate with logistics, shipping, finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts and timely deliveries.
- Quality & Compliance: Understand iron ore grades, Fe content, impurities, sampling, inspection procedures, and applicable domestic and international trade regulations.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain a strong network of miners, steel manufacturers, traders, brokers, shipping partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Profitability Management: Track trading margins, evaluate deal performance, and ensure transactions align with business objectives. Preferred Skills
- Experience managing end-to-end iron ore trading transactions.
- Exposure to international sourcing, exports, imports, and cross-border commodity markets.
- Understanding of iron ore grades, quality assessment, freight economics, and contract structures.
- Ability to identify recent business opportunities and independently develop trading relationships.
- Strong professional network across the mining, steel, and ferrous commodities ecosystem.
