Lead and execute synthetic organic chemistry research projects. Design and develop synthetic routes for target molecules and chemical intermediates. Perform multi-step organic synthesis, reaction optimization and process development. Handle purification and characterization of synthesized compounds using techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, LC-MS and other analytical methods. Troubleshoot complex synthetic challenges and improve reaction yields and purity. Independently manage research projects and ensure timely execution. Maintain proper laboratory records, experimental data and technical documentation. Guide and mentor junior research chemists. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Support scale-up activities and technology transfer wherever required.
