Role & responsibilities 1. Project Cost Monitoring & Control: Monitor day-to-day project expenditure against approved budgets, BOQ and estimated project costs. 2. Closely monitor expenditure vis--vis actual physical progress and work executed at different sites. 3. Ensure expenditure incurred is proportionate to the quantity and value of work completed. 4. Identify cost overruns, abnormal expenses, unnecessary spending and financial leakages. 5. Maintain detailed project-wise, block-wise and activity-wise cost statements. 6. Financial Vigilance & Expenditure Control: Scrutinize bills, vouchers, petty cash, labour payments, machinery rentals, fuel, transportation and other site expenditures. 7. Verify genuineness, necessity and commercial justification of expenditure before recommending approval, in accordance with the companys approval matrix. 8. Identify and prevent wasteful expenditure, duplicate payments, excess billing and unauthorized expenses. 9. Monitor utilization of company funds and ensure financial discipline at all project locations. 10.



Maintain proper checks and balances over cash advances, site imprest and settlement of expenses. 11. Daily Financial Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare daily expenditure reports and compare them with physical work progress. 12. Monitor productivity and expenditure of HDD machines, blowing teams, splicing gangs, manpower and other resources. 13. Track cost per kilometre of HDD, OFC laying, blowing, splicing and other major project activities. 14. Prepare weekly and monthly cost-performance reports for Management. 15. Highlight abnormal cost variations, financial risks and areas requiring immediate corrective measures. 16. Commercial & Project Coordination: Coordinate with Project Heads, Site Engineers, Accounts, Procurement and Store Departments. 17. Monitor material consumption, stock movement, machinery utilization and manpower deployment against actual work done. Review subcontractor bills and verify quantities against actual execution and approved work orders
