Remote Domain: Chemical Engineering | Process Simulation | AI Training Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineering expert to lead a pod of 5–10 technical trainers developing realistic, terminal-based engineering tasks for a frontier AI training initiative. You will review tasks for technical accuracy, reproducibility, and evaluation quality, mentor trainers, and ensure tasks reflect authentic chemical engineering workflows.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a pod of trainers, ensuring quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
• Review tasks end-to-end, including problem statements, process flowsheets, computational environments, reference solutions, and automated tests.
• Validate tasks across reaction engineering, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, separation processes, and process simulation.
• Verify engineering correctness (mass/energy balances, unit handling, numerical convergence) and validate computational models and solver tolerances.




• Review automated graders to ensure they evaluate meaningful engineering outputs (conversion, yield, energy consumption, etc.).
• Identify technical inaccuracies, unrealistic assumptions, and bypass opportunities; provide actionable feedback.
• Onboard trainers, allocate work, monitor throughput, and maintain documentation. Key Requirements
• Ph.
D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Chemical Engineering.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Julia, C/C++, or MATLAB/Octave, with Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on expertise in at least one area: process modeling, reaction kinetics, thermodynamic modeling, process simulation, or optimization.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, numerical methods, and technical validation.
• Experience reviewing complex technical work, simulations, or research outputs.
• Experience mentoring or leading small technical teams; excellent written communication skills. Role Details
