Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Operations Head to lead and manage the overall manufacturing operations of the Chocolate Division. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, operational efficiency, quality standards, cost optimization, manpower management, and ensuring smooth functioning of the plant while achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations of the Chocolate Division, ensuring smooth and efficient plant functioning.

- Develop and execute production plans to achieve business targets, ensuring optimum utilization of resources.

- Manage the complete production process, including raw material handling, processing, moulding, cooling, packaging, and dispatch.

- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and quality standards.

- Drive operational excellence through process improvement, lean manufacturing, and waste reduction initiatives.

- Monitor production KPIs, machine efficiency, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

- Control manufacturing costs, minimize wastage, and improve overall plant profitability.

- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and R&D; teams for seamless operations.

- Lead, train,



and develop production teams, ensuring effective manpower planning and performance management.

- Ensure timely preventive maintenance and minimize machine breakdowns.

- Implement safety standards and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.Tech in Food Technology / Mechanical / Dairy Technology or relevant qualification.

- 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the Chocolate, Confectionery, or FMCG industry.

- Strong understanding of chocolate manufacturing processes, including chocolate processing, tempering, moulding, enrobing, cooling, and packaging.

- Experience in handling large-scale manufacturing plants and production teams.

- Solid knowledge of food safety, quality systems, GMP, HACCP, and FSSAI.

- Proven track record in cost optimization, productivity improvement, and operational excellence.

- Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
