1. Job Purpose

To manage and supervise daily electric bicycle manufacturing and assembly operations, achieve production targets, maintain product quality, manage manpower, ensure material availability and maintain accurate production records through SAP. The role requires effective shop-floor management, team coordination and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

A. Production Planning & Execution

- Execute daily, weekly and monthly production plans as per customer requirements and dispatch schedules.
- Achieve daily production targets with optimum utilization of manpower, machines and materials.
- Supervise complete electric bicycle manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Monitor production line activities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor production output, cycle time, downtime and line efficiency.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders and schedules.

B. EV Bicycle Assembly & Manufacturing

- Supervise bicycle frame assembly and component fitting.
- Monitor fitting of front fork, handlebar, seat, pedals, crankset, wheels and other bicycle components.
- Ensure proper installation of electric motors, controllers and battery packs.
- Supervise wiring harness connections, display installation and electrical fittings.
- Monitor brake, gear, chain, tyre and wheel assembly.
- Ensure proper torque tightening and component fitting as per specifications.
- Supervise motor, battery and electrical system installation.
- Coordinate functional testing and final inspection of assembled electric bicycles.
- Ensure adherence to approved assembly processes and work instructions.

C. Team Handling & Leadership

- Allocate daily work responsibilities to operators, technicians and assembly-line workers.
- Supervise and guide production employees to achieve daily targets.
- Monitor manpower attendance, productivity and discipline.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate production targets.
- Train employees on assembly processes, SOPs and safety procedures.
- Manage shift-wise production activities and proper shift handovers.




- Resolve shop-floor issues and maintain team efficiency.
- Ensure accountability and discipline among production team members.

D. SAP & Production Reporting

- Handle SAP production-related activities and transactions.
- Create, monitor and update production orders in SAP.
- Perform production order confirmations and update actual production quantities.
- Verify BOM (Bill of Materials) and material requirements.
- Record material consumption and production output in SAP.
- Coordinate material issue and return transactions with the stores department.
- Maintain accurate SAP entries and inventory records.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production MIS reports.
- Monitor rejection, rework, material wastage and production efficiency.
- Maintain production documentation and ensure timely reporting to management.

E. Quality Control & Process Improvement

- Ensure quality standards are maintained at every stage of bicycle assembly.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for in-process and final inspections.
- Monitor defects related to frames, brakes, wheels, motors, batteries and electrical connections.
- Reduce rejection, rework and material wastage.
- Identify root causes of production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper product testing and inspection before dispatch.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

F. Material & Inventory Management

- Ensure availability of bicycle frames, motors, batteries, controllers and other components.
- Coordinate with stores, purchase and planning departments for material requirements.
- Monitor daily material consumption against production requirements.
- Prevent material shortages and unnecessary wastage.
- Maintain component traceability and proper material handling.
- Ensure reconciliation of physical stock and SAP records.
- Follow up on pending materials to avoid production interruptions.

G. Safety & Shop-Floor Management

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).




- Maintain shop-floor housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Ensure safe handling of lithium-ion batteries and electrical components.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses.
- Ensure safe operation of tools, machines and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized and disciplined production environment.

3. Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering.
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile or Electrical Engineering.
- Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and manufacturing experience may also be considered.

4. Experience Required

- 2–5 years of experience in production and manufacturing operations.
- Experience in electric bicycle, bicycle, automobile or EV manufacturing preferred.
- Hands-on experience in assembly-line operations and manpower handling.
- Practical knowledge of SAP production operations.
- Experience in production planning, quality control and material management.
