A Packing Supervisor manages the daily packaging line operations, oversees teams of packers, and ensures products are safely and accurately packed for shipping.Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule packaging staff.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished packaged goods and ensure they meet company and safety standards.
- Operations Management: Monitor packing line efficiency, troubleshoot machine issues, and manage inventory of packing materials.
- Reporting: Maintain daily production logs, safety records, and operational reports.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce workplace safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOP).
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or packaging experience.
- Education:
High school diploma or a degree in a relevant field depending on the industry (such as food, pharma, or logistics).
- Core Skills: Robust leadership, basic computer literacy for data entry, problem-solving, and knowledge of safety regulations.
