Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Commercial to oversee commercial operations in a steel plant. The candidate must have strong expertise in procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, cost control, and commercial operations within the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day commercial operations and site activities.
- Oversee procurement, purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and supplier relationships.
- Handle commercial contracts, quotations, rate comparisons, and negotiations.
- Monitor budgets, commercial expenses, and cost-control activities.
- Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Purchase, Stores, and Production departments.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor bills, payments,



and commercial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and commercial procedures.
- Lead the commercial team and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the steel industry is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, contracts, vendor management, and cost control.
- Experience in steel plant or site-level commercial operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Preferred: Candidates who can join immediately or have a short notice period.
